The screw conveyor is a kind of machinery that uses motor to drive
screw rotation and push materials to achieve the purpose of
conveying. It can be transported horizontally, obliquely or
vertically, and has the advantages of simple structure, small
cross-sectional area, good sealing, convenient operation, easy
maintenance, convenient closed transportation and so on. Screw
conveyor can be divided into two types: axial screw conveyor and
shaftless screw conveyor. In appearance, it can be divided into
U-shaped screw conveyor and tubular screw conveyor. Axial screw
conveyor is suitable for dry powder materials and small particle
materials without viscosity (e.g. cement, fly ash, lime, grain,
etc.) and shaftless screw conveyor is suitable for conveyor made of
viscous and winding materials. (e.g. sludge, biomass, garbage,
etc.) the working principle of the screw conveyor is that the
rotating screw blades move the materials to the screw conveyor, so
that the materials do not rotate with the screw conveyor blades.
The force is the weight of the materials and the friction
resistance of the screw conveyor shell to the materials. For the
screw blades welded on the rotating shaft of the screw conveyor,
the surface shape of the blades depends on the conveying There are
different types of materials, such as solid surface, belt surface,
blade surface, etc. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor has a
thrust bearing at the end of the material movement direction to
give the axial reaction force to the screw with the material. When
the captain is long, an intermediate suspension bearing should be
added.
